Brothers Antonio, Jorge, Miguel and Justo Castillo all apprenticed with William Spratling in his famous Taxco, Mexico studio. There they developed their exceptional silver design talents and went on to start their own Southwest silver jewelry company, Los Costillo in 1939.
They became a notable piece of the history of the area, already rich in silversmithing traditions.
This is a heavy modernist sterling silver linked bracelet with vibrant abalone inlay.
Unique design, circle links are joined by double crescent links.
The bracelet measures 7.5" long and just under 1" wide.
42 grams total weight.
Some tarnish to the silver, otherwise in very good condition.
Marked with 1960s era Taxco marks and signed Los Castillo.
Also marked MOSAICO.
