Lucite jewelry became popular in the late art deco era around the 1930s as a cheaper alternative to bakelite, going through another popular time in jewelry in the 1980s. The bright and oversized statement plastic pieces were staples in fashion during these times. The jelly belly brooches and large chunky bead necklaces remain the most collectible early lucite pieces.
A large clear lucite pendant with a gold leaf lion head on a long vintage gold tone chain.
The pendant measures 3\" high and 2.75\" at its widest.
The chain measures 24\" long.
There is some wear / scuffing to the pendant and wear / discoloration to the chain.
